Mystery

I had not read Wendy Sand Eckel’s work prior to being gifted Mystery at Windswept Farm, but I’m now a big fan. This book had a lot more depth than the usual cozy mystery; the plot was well thought out and I loved how it was interwoven with the Day Lily Café and small town life. I loved the characters; they were well-defined and their roles were very clear throughout. There’s a lot going on in this story and yet you are never confused as to who is doing what. I would strongly recommend Mystery at Windswept Farm (and Ms. Eckel’s other books in the Rosalie Hart Mystery series) to anyone wanting to escape to a fascinating whodunit for a few hours. I’m looking forward to reading more of Ms. Eckel’s series.
