The Desert Advocate - Feb 21, 2007 - TheDesertAdvocate.com
The wave of the future is ‘instant gratification’ Entrepreneur’s Web TV concept
is taking off
That is up until early 2006 when she
established arizonawebtv.com based
on the advice of a friend who works in
television.
“My plan is to branch out to the entire
West coast,” Hampson told The Desert
Advocate.
And she just may do it.
Hampson’s business, which integrates
television broadcast to Web sites,
began with a TV Web site dedicated to
Scottsdale and has since expanded to
Anthem, Mesa, Chandler, Phoenix,
Tempe and Surprise.

Hampson, who was an international business consultant, said she envisions a future
where every household will have a hybrid TV-personal computer that allows users to
surf the Internet, communicate and get entertainment and news on demand.

Apple Computer in January unveiled its latest multimedia interface, AppleTV, which
allows users to download music and videos from their computer to their TV sets. The
wireless interface, which will retail for about $300, can “store up to 50 hours of video,
9,000 songs, 25,000 photos or a combination of each,” according to a news release
from the company.

Web TV is “part of the wave of the future,” said Don Rice, one of the founders of the
recently established North Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. The new chamber has
partnered with Hampson and is using her Web TV concept to promote chamber
events and recruit more members. Rice said, “Our primary goal, in a nutshell, is to
grow the (business) community.”
Danielle Hampson’s concept, above,
integrates broadcast with the Internet
which she said will soon become
commonplace.
