A sudden illness in January 1988 put Janice M. Weinheimer to bed for the next 5 months forever altering the
course of her life. Her past was gone. She would never again be who she had been. Flashbacks of sexual
abuse followed after months and years of trying to regain her health. Nothing felt safe. All inner security had
vanished. When doctors couldn't find anything wrong, she turned to alternative healing and inner guidance. Her
"false self" had to be crushed before she found her inner self. Her book tells about finding and surrendering to
her Higher Power and healing.
Janice M. Weinheimer, the seventh of eight
siblings, was born in Pocatello, Idaho. The
family subsequently relocating to Utah, she
entered the University of Utah at age sixteen,
graduating from Brigham Young University with
a business education degree at twenty. Ms.
Weinheimer is the author of Families Are
Forever--If I Can Just Get Through Today, the
popularity of which led her to many speaking
engagements across the country including
being keynote speaker at state and national
conventions.
The Illness That Healed Me is a remarkable
journey of the power of self in facing and healing
from the past. It is for anyone desiring to change
and heal and especially supportive of the
sexually abused who are looking for hope. It
would benefit anyone with health issues.
